BLYTH MARKET IN NORTHUMBERLAND

Blyth market is a historical market that resides in the biggest town in Northumberland, lying on the north east coast, the town is approximately 13 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Whilst the town itself has seen a decline in industry, namely coal mining and shipping, the Market has survived throughout. Saturdays are the busiest of the two offical market days in the town with regular traders coming from across the region to sell their goods. From new and second hand books, bedding plants, craft goods, haberdashery to confectionary and meats Blyth Market is still one of the key focus points of the town.
